Arrow Electronics reveals ‘Arrow Global Training Alliance’ for IBM Global Training

Fast Lane becomes Arrow’s first Global Training Alliance member

Hamburg/Berlin, Raleigh/Durham NC, Singapore, Sydney, 28th January 2014 – IT training specialist Fast Lane and its subsidiary iTLS have entered into a cooperation with the worldwide IBM Global Training Provider Arrow Electronics Inc. starting with immediate effect. As an Arrow Global Training Alliance member, Fast Lane will offer official IBM Systems and Software training courses via its international network, with the portfolio initially being available in 50 countries.

Effective immediately, Fast Lane will offer authorized IBM Training through its global learning network to complement Arrow’s capabilities and offerings.

In July 2013, Arrow was selected as one of four IBM Global Training Providers for IBM’s Software Group and Systems and Technology Group. In the next six months, as part of the strategic agreement between Arrow and Fast Lane, the IBM Global Training Program is to be implemented in 130 countries through Arrow’s Global Training Alliance. The training portfolio, which both organisations are selling and delivering together, comprises more than 800 training courses for IBM Solutions in the fields of IT infrastructure and software. In particular, the training opportunities include:

  • IBM Systems training (i.e., IBM Power Systems, IBM PureSystems, IBM System Storage and Storage Networking);
  • IBM System x and BladeCenter;
  • IBM System z;
  • Cloud Computing; and
  • IBM Software trainings (i.e., Business Analytics, Information Management, Collaboration, Product Lifecycle Management, Rational, Tivoli and WebSphere).

Fast Lane closes the 2012 financial year with a record turnover of US$101.5 million and continues its strategy of global growth

Hamburg/Berlin, 15th January 2013 – The IT education and consultancy company Fast Lane/ITLS (www.flane.de), reports a positive balance for the 2012 financial year. At US$101.5 million, the company recorded its highest ever turnover. Fast Lane increased its profits to more than 3 million US dollars. During the fourth quarter of 2012 Fast Lane achieved their best revenue results in the company’s history with in excess of 29 million US dollars.

Fast Lane’s success has again been recognized within the industry with the accolation of the following awards: Cisco Top Relevance Award EMEAR 2012, The VMware EMEA Training (VATC) Partner of the Year 2012 award as well as TrainingIndustry.com’s list of Top 20 IT Training Companies 2012.

A lot of Fast Lane’s success can be put down to very strong growth within their VMware training offering, alongside their very own virtualization and data center developed courses. For example, proprietary developments include a comprehensive cloud computing curriculum for the FlexPod architecture and the VXI (Virtualization Experience Infrastructure) solution.

Fast Lane’s forecast for the current financial year predicts double digit growth in sales, and last year‘s profits will allow for further acquisitions in 2013. “This year we will continue our solid growth strategy. Nine years after foundation of our enterprise we managed to exceed 100 million US dollars last year; our ambitious goal is now to double the turnover to 200 million US dollars within the next three years”, explains Torsten Poels, CEO & Chairman of the Board at Fast Lane/ITLS.
